Longtime ec2a affiliate Ease Up George brings more flavours than Creams Cafe on his latest EP for TENTEN - a care package of UKG in its speedy, bumpy and dubby forms. “On the Dancefloor” hops along with a cheeky 2-step tritone before giving way to melting speed garage, backed with chirpy disco vox. From there, it’s strictly instrumental, but the basslines have more than enough character to make up for it, like the conniving acid low-end below the thumping filter house hybrid of “One Oh! One”. Jeremy Sylvester heads will get a kick out of the way “Love Me or Treat Me” adds hits of seaside organ and a fat bass that fill the speakers, while “Get Loose” softens the mood with a cloudy ambiance and a playful shuffle.
